Questions? Comments?   My Daily Coffee chronicles the daily coffee imbibed in the course of researching Project Latte, my New York City coffee shop guide. You can also follow the project on Flickr, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and Foursquare.
Astoria’s Queens Kickshaw, renowned for its craft beer and grilled cheese, is also a coffee shop, with a serious espresso machine and a variety of pour over coffee offerings, all using beans from upstate roaster Coffee Labs. Unfortunately the coffee is currently not being roasted well, so all of the coffee at Queens Kickshaw has a burned aftertaste.
It’s a pretty good place to work (albeit sometimes with earsplitting music), with long communal tables in the back, plugs, and free wifi. The husband and wife owners are active in social media and have created a friendly community space, with live music and food-related events. Make sure to get the curried pumpkin seeds if you need a snack.
